Dog Gone and Done It - Day One

Being one to make snap decisions, after 6 years deliberation, I decided that we could get a dog.  As "a dog" was once again the number on item on the Christmas wish list of the "children," (who are no longer children at ages 11 and 13), I said to myself - OK we can do this.  So on Christmas morning Santa brought a dog toy which he hid behind all the other presents.  If I had not been caught up in the holiday spirit, I still could have snatched that box away.  But no...
